Just another reason why I need the “Watch The Throne” Lebron IX…it has a gold plated lace-lock created by jeweler Gabriel Urist. So dope! This shoe is quickly becoming the greatest exclusive ever made. Some day my friends, some day!

One last addition to the Christmas list! On Christmas day Nike will be releasing their Christmas pack for their signature basketball players and outside of the Amare Stoudemire shoe, this is a great package.

The Lebron IX is dope and I am falling more and more in love with it by the moment, have you seen the Griffey’s? This version however is super clean. The all red upper with the green laces is stunning and the “crystalized” clear rubber is a great detail. It is a subtle colorway, more mature then the past but dope none the less.

The Kobe is the Kobe, crazy color combination; its nice but I have seen it before.

The real special shoe in this pack is the KDIV. It’s flipping bronze! Definitely a trend that has been going on in a few industries its nice to see it be featured on this shoe. The red laces are fresh but I would prefer black or a tonal bronze lace. All in all though a dope shoe and definitely the stand out in this pack!

Now which one to get?

Christmas arrived early!!!

The past week I have been showing what is at the top of my Christmas list. From the Palmore shirt, to the Lebron IX “Blackout” & the “Watch The Throne” edition, to the APC New Standard Jeans, to the Tanner Goods Belts and finally the MAX100 book by Matt Stevens.

Well today, to my pleasant surprise I received a copy of MAX100. Thanks Matt!

Go support fresh ideas!

For those keeping track of my Christmas list it goes: The Palmore shirt, The Lebron IX “Blackout” or the Lebron IX “Watch The Throne”, APC New Standard Straight Fit Grey Jeans and as of yesterday the MAX100 book by Matt Stevens.

Today I add to the list two belts that I am having a hard time deciding between. Both made by Tanner Goods from sunny Portland, Oregon. I have a natural tendency to be attracted to anything that is hand made and crafted. I would rather spend extra money on a product that has soul then something that is made purely for mass production and lacks a story.

Right now I am drawn to these two belts, one Black leather with a Black buckle and the other Black leather with a Copper buckle. Both are dope and on point but the copper is just so fresh and unique. But the Black on Black is consistent so its hard to choose. I will leave that up to Santa I guess…

So far my Christmas list goes: Imogene + Willie - Palmore Camouflage Shirt, The Lebron IX “Blackout” and the APC New Standard Fit Jean in Grey. Today I bring you something not fashion related, I bring you the MAX100 project by Matt Stevens.

Matt believes that the Air Max 1 is the greatest sneaker ever and wanted to draw his vision of it once a day. The beautiful element of this project is not the amazing renderings but the creativity that shined through. The interoperation of what a sketch can be is really explored through out this book. He interoperated not just colorway’s of a shoe but really captured the personality and importance of the iconic product.

This book to me is the definition of what art is, not a beautiful image; but a connection. He created 100 unique designs that are truly inspiring that not only connect with him, but with the viewer as well.

This book will look good in any sneakerhead’s collection or on any person’s coffee table that appreciates inspired impressions. You can buy just the book, but I suggest you get the artist pack, it comes with a unique packaging and a poster of the works aligned, the pack is also signed and numbered by Matt in limited quantities.

So the first two items on my Christmas list have been the Lebron 9 and the Palamore shirt, now I present a pair of jeans. The APC New Standard Straight Fit Jean in a Dark Grey that borders on Black (pending on whose palette you are using).

These jeans are pure dope! APC needs no introduction (if you don’t know them, look it up), you know the quality is on point and the fit, shape and rigidity will be amazing. Each pair will become unique over time through wear and honestly they will compliment my sinister and serious look that my Lebron 9 will provide. I need these…

Yesterday I brought you the first item on my Christmas list, the Imogene + Willie - Palmore shirt. Today I bring you some footwear.
Oh Shit, it’s just blacks on blacks on blacks… The “Blackout” version of the Nike Lebron 9 is just flat out ill. I am not a fan of Lebron and not a huge fan of his shoes, not that I don’t appreciate the designs; it is that they are too heavy for me. I am not a 6’8, 250 lbs. specimen of an athlete so that makes sense.
Like many others on this planet I am becoming a little attracted to this black on black craze. While it is not new, in fact you could say I am late on it; it is safe to say it is not going away anytime soon. I have been a late adjuster to the craze primarily because all the “blacks” tend to look flat and lack detail. This shoe defies that.
The value’s of the black on all the materials of the shoe are cohesive but they all have different finishes that take them to the next level. For instance the woven material that is highlighted in the quarter of the shoe picks up just the right amount of highlights to make it pop; the gloss level is perfect on it. The overall mesh of the shoe is a very tight weave that gives the proper scale to not be a focal point but provide an overall visual detail. The “Flywire” spans the shoe to provide texture and give a second directional read to the design.
All in all this is a fresh pair of shoes that deserves to be in my wardrobe and provides me with a very sinister and serious look when paired with the right outfit.

Seems like every popular blogger out there has some sort of Christmas list that they have posted so this week, even though nobody asked (nor is my blog really that popular); I am going to be posting up my list. Since my list is ever growing and is longer then most Christmas trees I have narrowed it down to a few select items. First up this Imogene + Willie - Palmore shirt.

I have been a huge fan of camouflage for a while now and in particular this pattern, which was originally created in the 60’s; that gives a nice vintage feel to it. On top of that the passion that goes into Imogene + Willie’s product is great. You feel like you are purchasing a part of someone’s life, it’s not just another product; it has soul. Their products are all hand made in the good old USofA. You can’t deny quality!
