So last week my good friends at CounterKicks posted up images of the New Balance 997 Training shoe, which just happens to be one of the last major projects I helped influence. The production version of the shoe is dramatically different then I had originally envisioned but a few of the details I created made its way to the outsole.
So in the spirit of the release I decided to post a few of my initial sketches and renderings.
Check out these beautiful sketches by Tinker Hatfield that Complex posted up today. The sketches are of the original Air Jordan XI. They show a great range of where the project could have went and what Tinker’s intensions were for the iconic product.
